Haehnel got through to the qualifying round in Monte Carlo, and overtook Richard befoere he was knocked out

Dorsch and Okun were also knocked out yesterday.

Mertl advances to within a win of overtaking Richard by winning his R1 in Bermuda

Bloomers plays Rushby today. A win will take him past Haehnel and Andujar to 180. Carlsen plays Smeets, but can't overtake unless he makes the quarters.

Today, Bloomers plays Niemayer in Cardiff. If he wins, he'll advance past Lacko and Okun. He'll overtake Stakhovsy if he loses to Sa in Bermuda.
If he loses, then he can be overtaken by Carlsen if he beats Oudsema in Cardiff

Carlsen lost in Cardiff; Stakhovsky lost in Bermuda

It's looking threatening behind, as Luczak, Reynolds and Kollerer all advance.

Today in Marrakech, Luczak overtakes if he beats Greul. Troiki plays Haase.
In Bermuda tonight, Mertl overtakes if he beats Zabaleta; Odesnik will go level on points if he beats Guzman. Kollerer plays Querrey.

Luczak climbs off the top of the table, as does Troiki, who beat Haase.

In Bermuda tonight, Mertl lost

; Odesnik goes level on points

Kollerer beat Querrey

and advances.

Tomorrow, Richard can be overtaken by Odesnik, Kollerer and Reynolds. All three play in Bermuda against Decilder, Zabaleta and Vemic respectively.

All three threats, Odesnik, Kollerer and Reynolds were knocked out of the Bermuda tournamnt yesterday. Richard is safe at 183. Up 1 on the week, and with 4 more points in the bag.
