Slabba lost the first set 6-3

Snobel won the first set 6-2

Gazz says the surface looks a lot slower (that's what I think he means anyway)

Hope Slabba can turn this match around, and this wouldn't be a good loss for him at all

Yes thats def what he meant, he says Moto is able to attack more and Slabba is going to have to win this rather than Moto lose.

Slabba lost 6-3, 6-4.

Snobel won 6-2, 7-6(4)

Bad loss for Slabba really, as he should really be beating Motomura, especially after winning last week, but guessing he struggled on the slower courts.

At least it gives him plenty of time to get to Russia, but US Open qualies are looking unlikely now (could be for the best, as he'll probably be able to score more points by not playing them)

Goodall wins 6-4, 6-2 - Gazz says Goodall played a blinder of a match, although Klein was holding his stomach, he only started doing so when he was losing the match

Rehnquist won 6-2, 6-0

On paper would the slower surface favour Eaton, being a serve volleyer?

well i think they both s&v. i'd say it favours bloomers who has a more rounded game.

faster surface is better for big server and cant get as good a return which means it is easier to put the volley away.

Bloomers wins the first 6-3.

Gazz says Eaton isn't serving very well, which on a slower surface is going to affect his performance, especially as his game relies a lot on the big serve anyway
