well some on mtf has provided a link with scores, which shows a retirement at 4-4 1st set, but it seems to be suggesting Alex won?? hmm. may well have to wait for atp confirmation on this.

The site scoreboard doesn't merely suggest, it actually states, that Alex beat Nunez 4-4 rtd - here. Hope to God it's accurate... (seem to have been doing a lot of that lately! ). Still no sign of confirmation via the ATP, though.

That said, He let me down. Have just found this on the home page:
El británico Alex Bogdanovic, 183 en las listas mundiales de la ATP, resultó eliminado en la primera ronda, luego que una lesión en el muslo izquierdo lo obligó a retirarse del torneo cuando estaba 4-4 en el primer set de su partido ante el estadounidense Eric Núñez (242 ATP).
which, for those who don't read Spanish, means: "The Briton, Alex Bogdanovich, N° 183 in the ATP world rankings, was knocked out of the first round after an injury to his left thigh forced him to retire from the tournament at 4-4 in the first set of his encounter with the American, Eric Núñez (WR 242)".
Added to the rankings debacle and the incorrect QR2 result for the Wardinator in Santo Domingo, all this misinformation on ATP/tournament sites is becoming an epidemic this week.
That's terrible news if Boggo got injured and that match was probably going to determine whether or not he ends the year having moved up in the rankings in 2008 or not - he's currently right back where he started. Still, at least he doesn't have any matches to play for a few weeks and hopefully the injury is nothing that a few days on the beach won't help to put right.
