A-Ward in same section as Chamberlain with 2 wins required to make MD
Better performances from both Dee and Goode this week by the looks of it I was expecting double bakery for both. As Smidster says, the important ones won.

I tell you what, our lads and lasses can't avoid the shocking draws this year so far! If we aren't facing each other in the early rounds, it's the first or second seeds!
L32: (Q) Nick Cavaday WR 1205 v Thomas Cazes-Carrere (FRA) WR 698 L32: (Q) Alexander Ward GBR WR 973 v (2) Daniel Danilovic (MNE) WR 549
Winners to play each other in R2.
And so it came to pass:
Nick had an easy win over Cazès-Carrère by 2 & 4 ( ), while Alex accounted for the second seed in three, 7-5 4-6 7-5! Typical bloody Brit luck! As Silver says, it's a conspiracy!
I think the Wardinator's turned it into a very good draw by beating the no. 2 seed - a guaranteed quarter-finalist in a Spanish Future from two Brit qualifiers ranked out side the top 500 is not to be sneezed at!
Alex proved last year that he can beat much higher-ranked players without really following up at all, but he's started this year looking like he just might be able to do it more consistently.

I might just take my words back now Well done lads! Definitely the best way to shut me up!
Not that shutting up makes much of a difference, I'll just drivel in different ways...
Yes, exactly -when I was bemoaning the draw, it was because there seemed to be a serious risk of Danilovic doing a double Brit-bash, but Alex has turned it into a great draw I think.
