Heather Watson competes in qualifying here, starting today, and finds herself in a very strong section. She will be favourite to win her opener, though Panova is useful and beat Anne last year, but is then likely to run into the in-form big serving winner of Midland, Lucie Hradecka.

Missed another break apiece ( making 2 each this set which is relatively calming down on that front )

In the 2nd set Heather's service has switched round, now winning 46% on 1st serve and 71% on 2nd serve.
