R1: BAMBURAC, Sabrina (GBR) Q UNR v JUHASZOVA, Vivien (SVK) 4 595

I think this is the 5th time Sabrina has got through qualifying but she has still not managed to collect a ranking point. She doesn't seem to have much luck with the draws.

It's her 10th main draw (not sure how many of those she had to go through qualifying for, but it'll have been most of them. She has drawn the no. 2 seed three times, the no. 4 seed once, the no. 6 seed twice and unseeded players just four times (which is definitely unluckier than average - on average, you'd expect to avoid seeds 6 or 7 times and only play a top 2 seed once or twice in R1 in 10 main draws) but she did once pick up a ranking point, when she beat Nowak in R1 at the Edinburgh 10K in 2009.

She has quite an interesting back story, having avoided deportation with the help of local support in 2003. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/tyne/3057797.stm
