Claire had a CH of 712 back in 2005 but has played in less than 10 ranked events since the end of 2007. Her opponent beat Anna Fitzpatrick 0-6 6-0 6-1 (!) in February and won a 10K in Madrid in May

Before I forget, probably the most famous winner of the women's singles at this event so far this century was a certain Li Na from China in 2001 ...

DL32: Natasha Marks & Claire Ricketts UNR beat Gombo Altanzul & Munguntsetseg Anudari (MGL) UNR by 0 & 1

DL16: Natasha Marks & Claire Ricketts UNR v (7) Ganna Piven & Anastasiya Vasylyeva (UKR) WR 701

Piven is a former top 300 singles player who lost to Samantha Murray (by coincidence, a doubles bronze medallist at the last Universiade in 2009) 0-6 6-3 6-0 in Bath earlier this year and Vasylyeva is a former top 300 singles player who beat Emily W-S on her way to winning a 10K in India late last year.
