Georges got there with power hitting, managing to keep the ball in the court more than she used to. She's struggling a little at the minute though.

Play isn't starting in Texas until late afternoon, presumably to avoid the worst of the heat, which means that although Bally is first up on Grandstand, her match won't start until 23.30 BST.

I think this is from the singles draw - Goerges (3) beat Cornet in R1 singles, with Bally due to play Zahlavova-Strycova in her first round match.

Strange scheduling if so. Hottest part of the day in Texas is between 5 and 6pm !!! FACT. Better to go until mid afternoon, take a break and then restart after 7ish.

I think the shade temperatures peak at around 5pm but the sun won't be as strong by this time and so on court temperatures should be falling.

Bally is definitely not in the doubles draw.
