nice to see Tom burn popping up in competition overseas. Was wondering whether if he was just going to do the British futures or not

Tom did an interview during the futures at Felixstowe where he said that starting with Manchester (2 weeks before) he had entered 14 tournaments this year.

He does indeed come over really well but what a terrible interviewer and, awful camera work........how difficult is it to point it at his head haha! Good that these clips get put up online though, no matter how badly done thats the only time I have heard Tom speak and, even just that little thing means he's now a little bit more than just a typed name with GB next to it.

Nice to see Tom get the win and it will be interesting to see if he maintain the form he has shown in the home futures. As I said last week (Nottingham thread) Tom seems to be in a very good place mentally and playing very solid. His draw has also opened up very nicely as the top seed, who was in his quarter, has been beaten by an unranked qualifier. Tom is now the highest ranked player in his half of the draw. Unfortunately the doubles didn't go as well.

R1: Tom Burn / Joshua Milton WR 1951 lost to (4) Kalle Averfalk / Robin Ollin (SWE/SWE) WR 1699 : 6-4, 3-6 [10-8]
