Week 5 - Great Britain F3 ($10,000) - Sheffield (Hard)

Draw for qualies is out but too busy watching the AO to type it out.

Good to see however that Dan Cox is playing and has been given a WC into the qualies.

Shame Willis didn't get a main draw WC here after 2 very good weeks from him. Although i guess they could argue that they've given him 2 already

WC's for Morgan, Farquharson, Ward-Hibbert...?

I think Graeme Dyce (AO boy's doubles champion 2007) may have a wild card as he is in the doubles draw. He seems to be another late graduate like Neal Skupski.

Edit: He doesn't.

Think it's better he has to qualify to prove it the last two weeks weren't luck. Ward Hibbert and Farquarson seem to have more potential so Wild Cards logical for them.

From the ITF site, we now have winners in 5 of the 8 qualies today.

Dan Cox beat Miles Bugby : 6-2 4-6 6-4
Lewis Burton beat Ollie Hudson : 6-4 6-2
Jack Findel Hawkins beat Richard Gabb : 6-7 6-4 7-6
Ashley Hewitt beat Myles Orton : 6-4 6-4
Constantin Belot beat Marcus Willis : 6-3 1-0 (ret)

Hope Marcus is not seriously injured and just suffering the effects of a couple of tough weeks.

Dan Cox is happy to be back: "Feet and legs are bit battered and bruised! But qualied in Sheffield! Feels great to be competing! #competitive"

Jack's win is a new career best ranking scalp and the first time he has qualified for a Futures singles main draw.

He hasn't retired but no comeback plan has been announced either.
