Wasn't there talk of Ed Corrie going to Uzbekistan in week 19?   I bet the field will be quite weak for a Challenger, not particularly nice place, expensive and slow to get to.

It'll be interesting to see if he can pick up from where he left off after his "enforced" three week break. We need some decent results to raise our spirits....

There are futures events in Mexico for the two weeks after this. Maybe he will be going there.

Looking at the entries, he would have made the main draw easily. I think the word expensive springs to mind. I'm not sure on Ed's funding(not on LTA list?), but i'd expect him to enter challengers in cheaper locations or where hospitality is provided.

The cut for the main draw is already about 900 it's possible there may even be unranked players come the time in the main draw so he should walk into the semis.

Interesting that Emily has abandoned a 2nd week in Japan where she would have to qualify to go into the main draw in South Africa where even more points are at stake. I think she will struggle to qualify for next weeks event so this is a clever idea I think.

I like Baker's idea of going back to the futures just to get into the practice of winning again, momentum so important in a career.

Odd that Jonny isn't playing with Colin. Their combined rank is 46 so they would have easily got in.

... or not, unfortunately. Stu Fraser was asking on Twitter what had happened to him. I said he was down to play Newcastle, someone else remembered that there was a mention in a Daily Mail DC article of him playing Munich ATP qualifying this weekend, but then this from the LTA:

@stu_fraser Dan's currently training at the NTC but unfortunately he has torn his calf. Hopefully back competing in 2-3 weeks.
