With so many British tournaments expecting a lot of wildcards for the GB men and ladies.

Somewat suprised that JoKo and Tara Moore are down at Nottingham, whereas i would expect them to be in through WC's at Birmingham. Not sure where Sam and Lisa will end up, but expecting both to appear that week. Elena should be at Birmingham.

Taking a guess at the wildcards for the men - Oli and Kyle Queen's, quite a few in qualifying. Likes of Dan Smethurst for Nottingham

Seems fair enough to me that Jo and Tara are down for Nottingham.

They will both no doubt get Wimbledon MD WCs and probably feel they have more chance of getting some decent competitive match play ( and ranking points ) in Nottingham than a possible fairly brief single outing at the much more loaded Birmingham WTA event.

Maybe then get WCs into Eastbourne for the following week.

I understand that there may not actually be that much in the way of prize money or ranking points on offer, but I am still surprised at some of those scheduled to play away when so much is going on at home. That said, I see Tom has already withdrawn from Holland, does Fitzy not fancy another crack on the grass?

Where is Kyle? he's not played since week 19, and not down for anything right up to this week?

That's is definitely the plan.

I really wanted to be there but it is looking unlikely now.  Cost of hotels in the area around RG (and Paris in general) is extortionate !!

The Poles (fyrstenberg and Matk...) have just retired from their match at RG, and Marach and kas retired after just 1 game vs the Bryans a day or 2 ago.

So, is Alex Ward coming over to play 1 tournament on grass, then going back to clay in Milan?
