No surprise really. Playing grass court futures post Wimbledon is pretty pointless from a development point of view. I would have thought a week or two off followed by some hard court events would be more sensible.
The week after this looks like a strong one for the Brits in challengers. Evo, Goodall and Klein (if you consider him a Brit) are all in Eskisehir (Turkey) and Corrie as 2nd Alt should join them. Boggo plays Binghamton and Ward plays Granby. With two North American challengers in one week the fields of both are pretty weak.
This would suggest that Josh G may skip the grass and play qualies in Istanbul and stay in Turkeyfor the main draw the following week.
I don't think that option is still available to him. Yesterday was the withdrawal deadline for Ilkely and as he is still on the acceptance list he is now committed to playing there.

I spoke to Kyle before his 1st round match at Eastbourne and that was his original plan to play a couple of GB future events. He wasn't sure of his schedule after that other than he would be heading stateside either to contest futures/challengers, before playing US open juniors.
