An incredible amount of people pulled out of Italy today , Kyle had originally barely made the main draw, now his sixth highest player
I think today is withdrawal deadline day, hence the sudden exodus. There will probably be a few more as the day goes on. As I guide, I was looking at the Italy 15K for week 27 and week 28 and Kyle's ranking would have got him into the top 4 seeds on each occasion, so he was always going to be up there in the end.
Not to forget though that his ranking will drop slightly on Monday when his 8 points from Wimby qualies last year drop out.

Initially players can enter up to 6 futures event but must choose which one that they want to play by the withdrawal deadline, 14:00 GMT the Tuesday 13 days before the Monday of the tournament week. At they point if they are still entered in more than one event they are auto-withdrawn from all events other than their number 1 priority.
Kyle has now moved up to 5th on the list and despite the fact that he will drop a few ranking places when his Wimby Qualy points go next Monday, he is not going to be overtaken by anyone beneath him. Nș 6 on the list is ranked over 100 places below him.
Having said that, I do fear a bit for Kyle in this tournament. I am sure most of the other players have just played right through on clay where as Kyle has spent the last 4 weeks or so adjusting to grass. Going stright back onto the clay may not be that easy. And given that it may well be just for 1 week, don't be too surprised if Kyle is one that withdraws later. Just my opinion - no inside knowledge there.

why is it you think he will just be for one week on the clay?
I thought he was heading out to the USA for the hard court season very soon. Having said that, he now seems to have announced that Wimbledon will be his final junior tournament and he won't be playing US Open Juniors, so his plans may have changed and I may well be mistaken. We will know more at the end of this week when the entries for Week 30 are published as I note there is another 15k +H in Italy on that week.

wouldnt be suprised if they have changed, considering that was the sort of time we heard he was playing the GB futures, and that didnt happen
Kyle is down for the Orbetello challenger the following week so looks like he is staying on the Italian clay. An incredible 7 challengers on that week with Klein in Astana, James Ward, Evo and Boggo in Lexington USA, Alex Ward in Portugal as well as Kyle in Italy.
Even if there was a GB futures, which there is not, (but there is a 15k in Ireland) this is a typical week where I would love a couple of others to do a "Alex Ward" and have a crack at challenger qualies, some of the cuts are very low.

Thanks for the info. If there are 7 challengers on that week, maybe the draws won't be too strong. I shall watch with interest.
Kyle has pulled out of the Italian futures for this week and the next, wonder why
Probably wants a bit of a break. In his last two singles matches he has has looked a little ratty and flustered at times which is pretty unusual for him. That probably isn't surprising as the last few weeks will have been quite intense from a mental perspective. A week or two off, or of just some light practice, might be for the best.
