What's going on here ? Barely a game on the board matches, and then two points from beating a top 400 player last week and now trounces a player ranked 647 !!!
Suddenly all falling into place ????
(If so, I'm going to credit that victory in the doubles with Emily WS a few weeks ago - Eden's tweets were SO SO up-beat following that win that maybe she found the joy of tennis, and winning, again).
NB Should add too that she is SO young. Like many others of course, only 17, but there's a lot of adjusting and growing to do - wasn't suggesting that her results had been unduly poor before, just that maybe there's a sudden sea-change . . . fingers crossed.

Hope you're right CD and that everything's falling into place. Have seen Eden play several times over the past 12-18 months and she looked downcast and downbeat on every occasion. Still working and trying hard but no joie de vivre in her demeanour whatsoever. It must be hard when you stall for a while at 17 to feel confident that you will come through it. A first title must have really lifted her spirits and hopefully is spurring her on to greater things.
Peddi Reddy (my 'fave name' of the week) thrashed the WR390-ish girl that Eden so nearly beat last week. That might mean she's very good. Or that the other girl is having a dire few weeks.
