i dont think he should have had one for singles let alone doubles hes at that ranking where he should be good enough to qualify. Put him in qualies and give someone in form a chance
I am neither surprised or bothered that Klein didn't get a wild card. I think the LTA take the view that he only switched his nationality for cynical reasons (Tennis Australia were sick of him and would no longer fund him and he hoped he might get something off the LTA) and so they don't really want anything to do with him.
However they really should stop and reflect on how this looks. Liam lost in the first round of Manchester, Surbiton and Ilkey yet gets a wild card while players who won matches in those events get nothing. It looks very clear that meritocracy and results mean jack, all that matters is if your face fits. What a wonderful message that sends to everyone involved in British tennis.
As said a few months back, I think Liam's MD WC was guaranteed when he canceled going to the French Challenger and went to be leftie Donald-Young-esque hitting partner for the Davis Cup squad, knowing he had no chance of a game.
And I don;t have a problem with that (although they should be upfront about it, exactly to avoid the potential accusations you mention above).
But the Klein thing doesn't sit well with me and, going from someone who was neutral on the actual man (although backed him in principle), I feel he's been hard done by (and by a federation who are desperately trying to get Bedene admitted to Davis Cup and so are obviously very opportune as to who they use and take credit for). (Although do wonder if they're just dragging it out and making him suffer....)
The doubles cards are a joke, given what's been officially said.

I am not really sure how you go about explaining that. What player wouldn't miss a tournament where the prize money for winning the whole thing was about 10K if the reward is a Wimbledon wild card. It only adds to the perception that it's all about who is part of the club.
The obvious case for Liam's wild card is he current ranking being well inside the top 200 but the perception here is simply awful.
