Luke Simkiss completely lucked out as last week semifinalist, WR 509 and ex 371, (and finalist in Israel the week before) only entered this one too late (I'm assuming) and so was a wildcard in the qualifiers, and ended up against Luke......
That's the first time I can remember a GB player taking on their coach since Harry beat Josh in Cambodia a couple of years ago. As then, a one-way bet - Mason just won 5-0 ret. Not even subtle (that said, I hope Maniel didn't actually injure himself, after having helped Mason out by taking out the seed in the previous round!)

GB on a shirt, Davis Cup still gleaming, 79 years of hurt, never stopped us dreaming ... 29/11/2015 that dream came true!
Alex J playing the fourth seed: lost the first 3-6; won the second 6-2; currently a break up in the third ... with BPs against.... which he saves....and takes the game to lead 5-3*
There are larger issues facing Mr Recci, Mr Jhun and the GB women in Sharm el Sheikh, given the UK's decision to halt flights in and out of the resort. For the Egyptian people's sake (in a dire economy, Sharm's income is hugely needed), as well as theirs, I do hope this is not a long-term situation.
