I actually laughed when I saw Em's draw. Can't even catch a break in a 10k. Worst draw she could have gotten by a mile. Fingers crossed but on current form not sure this will be the week her singles kicks back into gear.

Has been in India for the past two weeks though. Might help a bit.

Poor Em. Not a good draw but she can, and needs to, make a statement and is capable.

Good luck Em smile

Here's hoping Em and Katy can justify their singles seedings this week; yep, R1 a toughie for Em so good luck :)

From her late 2014 Indian trip Katy has 30 ranking points to come off fom her Pune 25K runner-up spot.

So do hope she can find success this year in this week's 10K and more importantly next week's 25K ( she has withdrawn from what was to be a third week at this year's Pune 25K ).

Em loses 75 62. Mini-comeback at the end from 5-0 quickly snuffed out.

No surprise or shame in that result at all. Vesenelovic and Katy were my two picks for the title this week before the draw was done. Maybe some lady luck next week and finish 2015 on a high point.

Katy next, who's been struggling with food poisoning.

Other than the 30pts next week, Katy has virtually nothing to defend until Wimbledon. So a couple of good weeks in India would almost certainly guarantee a new CH early next year. Katy might even sneak a seeding next week as well.

If that's what Ms Dunne does when she is struggling with food poisoning, her opponents should watch out when she's feeling well. (Or does the food poisoning assist performance? Perhaps she could start a new trend among players ....)

Good stuff.

Pity about Ms W-S's draw ....
