yes, that's what I was thinking. Although it goes both ways - i.e. it's hard for both of them, as they're both good friends.

NB Alizé has been posting some great photos, after having found out that the Aussie Open give players 'unlimited food' !!!

None of those opponents have posted any significant wins so far this year (although granted it's early doors). This'll be Wang's first match of the year.

She's not serving well enough to win this at the moment. Needs to be careful.

Naomi finally punishes some 2nd serves to break for *3-1

df, ace, ace, df as Naomi holds to 40 for 4-1*

Easy love hold for AL *4-2

2 aces as Naomi holds to love 5-2*

Naomi gets 0-30 then loses two 2nd serve points but wins another to get set point, which she takes 6-2

AL recovers from 15-30 taking three first serve points in a row *1-1

Naomi broken to love despite 3 first serves 1-2*

AL recovers from 0-30 to hold to 40, missing just one first serve *1-3

Naomi holds to 30 2-3*

Naomi up 40-15 implodes, losing 4 points in a row, 3 dfs in the game 2-5*

Serving for the match, AL has 30-15 lands her next 3 first serves, yet is broken to 30 *3-5

Real shame, would have been great to see Naomi continue her recent momentum. Still, that's sport I guess, and I thoroughly expect her to be in the MD in Paris, with relatively little to defend
