Shame that the two young stars from last week, Alicia and Jasmine, who both made the final, had to meet at the QF stage this week.
Same result (Alicia won) although with a far, far tighter score this time round so well done to Jasmine.
Matt got a good result too.

Girls' QF:

Alicia DUDENEY (GBR) [2] 4-6 6-3 6-1 Jasmine CONWAY (GBR)

Boys' QF:

Matthew CLEGG (GBR) [6] def. Andrea CUGINI [2] (ITA) 6-1 6-4

Joe LEATHER (GBR) [5] lost to Ammar ELAMIN [4] (IRE) 4-6 4-6

Shame they had to meet in the QF.

Can Alicia go all the way and win 3 in a row?

She's trying, Merv

Girls SF: Alicia DUDENEY (GBR) [2] def. Margaux KOMANO (FRA) [3] 6-4 6-3

Boys SF: Ammar ELAMIN (IRL) [4] def. Matthew CLEGG (GBR) [6] 6-4 6-7(5) 6-4

Guaranteed winner(s) in the girls dubs too as Jamine+ will take on Alicia and Grace.

Matt and Finn are into the final in the boys dubs too

The singles finals are today but in the doubles, lovely for Jasmine to get a title - as said, at only 13, born in Dec. 2004, she is our second youngest ranked player and to actually now be a title holder is a great achievement (as well as finalist last week and only losing to likely winner/certain finalist this week).

Girls' Dubs FINAL:

Taylor CATALDI (USA) / Jasmine CONWAY (GBR) [3] def. Alicia DUDENEY (GBR) / Grace Emma ELAND (GBR) [2] 6-3 6-2

And the lads get the title in the boys, in style, cruising past the top seeds

Boys' Dubs FINAL:

Matthew CLEGG (GBR) / Finn MURGETT (GBR) [2] def. Ammar ELAMIN (IRL) / Giovanni MPETSHI PERRICARD (FRA) [1] 6-1 6-1

Very impressive 3 weeks from the youngster. I know they are 'only' grade 5's but it's still an achievement to win 3 tournaments back to back.

Into the low 400's now and onto bigger events.
