Week 1 - WTA Premier ($1M) - Brisbane, Australia (hard)

QR1: Marta Kostyuk (UKR) WR 119 vs (q5) Heather Watson WR 91 - danger!

QR1: Harriet Dart WR 149 vs Caroline Dolehide (USA) WR 126

Anyone know where you can access draws on the WTA site these days?

In 2018 Harriet started her season at a $15k event in Sharm el Sheikh. What a difference 12 months can make.

Indeed, but in the predictions so far submitted only one person is forecasting her making the top 100 in 2019...

That would be a very 'bold' prediction indeed Jag (IMO). Really hope she can, but she'll need to prove it at these bigger events outside of the grass season - ideally starting in the early hours. There's a difference between the big leagues and Euro 25k's and the odd weak Asian 60k. It didn't go too well post Wimbledon the last time she entered the bigger events.

I reckon she'll stay roughly where she is now, but she's one of my favourite British players so I wish her well.

But yes, going from 300 odd and 15k's to breaking the top 150 really is superb progress.

Tremendous win though and her second best, by ranking, outside of grass. Great stuff.

How many points for that? I can't find a copy of the PDF draw anywhere. Well done that girl!
