I don't think so because Kyle still has the ranking in place to get him into the bigger events, whereas Dan will still have to battle his way through quals for most, so more chance to slip up. That said, I certainly think there's an argument that Dan is the best active British male tennis player (taking Murray out of the equation) and hypothetically, if Dan and Kyle drew each other in the first round of say the US Open (most common surface) as direct entrants, a lot would be favouring Dan to win.
Very possible for us to have 3 in the top 50 in Dan, Cam and Kyle. Dan is probably the most naturally talented of the 3 and Im fairly certain had he not been banned he would be our current number 1. Be interesting to see how close they are come Wimbledon, my guess is theyll be within 20 spots of each other.
put it another way a how fit do you think Kyle will be this season thread. A bold prediction would be comparing players in development. Kyle, Cam and Evo can make subtle adjustments but essentially its doen to fitness.
I certainly think Dan will close the gap quite a bit on Kyle. Even if Kyle drops down the rankings he was top 30 last year so is a commitment player so will get in all the masters all year irrespective of ranking.all it takes is to do well in one of them and you can jump back up massively.
My feeling is Dan can end the year around 50 right now, regardless of what I predicted in the predictions game we all entered. Cam I also think will be around that. Kyle, mmm. I personally think he won't get back higher but could fall. It could be v close you know and isn't in anyway a daft question to pose. I'll go on a limb and say yes !
