The second semi is a mouthwatering affair, certainly for Americans!
Chris Evert, the Darling of American tennis in the 1970's and 80s versus the greatest player of the modern era, Serena Williams. And grass is the selected surface!
Chrissie won 18 slams in total, 3 of those where at Wimbledon but she also had 7 other finals, playing 10 finals at Wimbledon in total. Her record at Wimbledon was 101-12, an 89.3% win loss record. She also reached the final at Kooyong in Melbourne in 1974 on grass and won a number of tournaments such as Eastbourne.
Serena has won 23 slams, 7 of those on the lawns at Wimbledon and 4 finals there in addition, 11 final places in total. Her overall grass record is 98-12, 89%, so effectively the same as Chrissie.
For me, there is so little in this , it will be fascinating!
