We've had two losses in three sets so far today (Jay Clarke & Ali Gray) so it would be nice if George didn't hand us another one.

Currently one set all..... Allez, Loffy !!!

ADD: Yeh ! The boy did good and made it look easy biggrin

This is Escoffier's first official match back, since lockdown.

However, he's been playing his little socks off in the Exhibition matches, having played about 85 matches over the summer months, June to September.

He's got a very good win ratio but, obviously, there was a rather mixed bag of opponents and many played each other tons of times.

Strangely, he didn't play George once, even though George played a lot of exhibition matches in France.

However, he played Stuart Parker three times, with Stuart winning twice.

By the by, I see that the top seed (Moriya) has been knocked out in the first round, losing easily, 2 & 3, to Dan Added.

The second seed, also from Japan, has lost today.

I expect the Japanese tennis forumites are pretty gutted..... losing one top seed in the first round is unfortunate, to lose two looks like carelessness....
