Got to think there is a chance in all 3 of the doubles matches, a decent chance, although Jamie and Bruno may struggle against a very experienced pairing.

Dan has to be favourite v Chardy and Cam is in form, so got to figure him as a decent shot. We could get 5 or 0 here or anywhere in between!!

Madrid being at altitude, the clay always plays a little faster, so that may favour most of our guys a little more than usual...

Agree generally although I also think Jamie is struggling a fair bit right now. But they had a good season start and are top 8 race , so wont be too harsh!

But covered in sand, he couldn't quite manage it.

Dan had two more MPs on the TB.

At 6-4 on Chardy's serve, service winner, no problem.

At 6-5 on Dan's serve, Jez put in a WAY better return than Dan was expecting and the rally was then always on Chardy's racket.

But then, a real nasty miss by Dan, half way up the net, caught in two minds.

And a couple of points later, a tentative drop shot that didn't get over.

And now they're into a third set....
