Djokovic joins Nadal and Federer in missing Cincinnatti as well as Toronto. He says that he needs more time to recover and recuperate from this year's journey from Melbourne through to Tokyo.

Dan and Neal could run into the Croatians in round 2.

I like Cams singles draw in theory, not so much Dan.

Not sure what you're looking at Jon but the draw sheet I have shows Andy to play Hurkacz or Davidovich in round 2. He would only meet Medvedev in round 4 if he makes it that far. I agree Dan has an unlucky tough draw again - Schwartzman is always a tricky customer.

L56: (Q) Richard Gasquet (FRA) WR53 (CH = 7 in 2007) vs (WC) Andy Murray WR 105 (CH = 1 in November 2016)
h2h is 4-8 to Andy but the last time they met, also at this tournament in 2019, Gasquet won in straight sets. Ritchie also has the benefit of playing 2 rounds of qualifying and may be sufficiently warmed up.
