the kind of match on paper I guess he should be winning at this stage of his development, but given all the setbacks he's had it's far from a given, so great to get the W so comfortably

How would I check to see the expected cut of for Aus Open qualies - it seems likely Jack needs 2-3 more wins here get in to those right? That would explain why this win led to such a reaction I guess. He's at 273 live ranking and would prob get to aroudn 246 with a run to the final which would probably be what he needs right?

 I ggogled last year and found a site that showed the last spot ranking for a few years, can't remember what words I googled but try a few and something relevant will come up.  Tennis Forum will have the info somewhere if you are prepared to enter that cesspit and use the search facility
