Our top mens and womens singles players, our top doubles player and one of the favourite players of many on this board- not a bad final!
For me- Im voting Cam. His season has been revelatory and sustained , all season long and reaching nearly the top 10. Doing it week in week out , for me, tops the impressive slam wins of Emma and Joe
So this is the last player of season or player of month poll I will be doing. I hope folks have enjoyed them. Weve never had 40 votes in a poll before, this is our final and it would be great for the year weve seen and make me very proud and happy if we can top our best and get to 40 votes in this.
Please support the best of our players, and give your vote!
Some folk are maybe better vote organisers than voters
Quite probably !
i admire what Emma did, it was amazing, but as a season I genuinely felt Cam had the best British season since Andy in maybe 2016. And from a base where we could never have expected it. Its probably comparing chalk and cheese but for me, as a season, it was tops. As an achievement, an incredible one, clearly the US Open surpasses Indian Wells. But as a whole package, its Cam.
I need to check the rules but Im sure I read the organiser gets 20 votes?
Emma was amazing, and would have got my vote in most years but her achievement was over a short period and her time will come (hopefully). Joe is an exceptional doubles player and if it wasn't for Mektic and his Mate Joe would be world no 1. Beth has a very good year and reached new CH in both doubles and singles.
But Cam gets my vote as his season was outstanding as his rise from WR71 to WR12 shows.

Winning the US Open from qualifying without losing a set is a one-in-a-lifetime career defining event: I can't think of any way that this could be topped. I guess possibly getting to world no. 1 from outside the top 500 in a year?
For me I can conceive of no season that could top Ms Raducanu's, and I (cynically) think her career may be unfortunately short so she needs to win this now. Mr Norrie and Mr Salisbury will have other chances. As may ms. Grey.
15 votes placed. Remember it goes to 9pm tomorrow so plenty of time. Really hope we can reach the 40 mark!
Would also be great to see all players get votes here!
Quite nice in a way that everyone now has at least least one vote.
Though for PoS I would love to be able to fathom how that can be for instance Beth over Emma. Though so be it and I have been pretty enthusiastic about Beth in the forum and the final four would be my own final four.
I can kind of understand though not personally agree If by folk's personal algorithms not weighing singles much higher than doubles they can come end up with Joe. Some could arguably do with tweaking Senior men's and women's singles start off as clear #1 for me and there has then been far too much to make up this year from any doubles, junior or wheelchair competitor with such an exceptional singles story - achievement, history, shock, emotion ( maybe difficult for an algorithm to deal with all of these ).
Cam certainly has had a great season and he would be my #2. Just this particular year for me he was nowhere close to my chosen PoS. Indeed even just on Slam stats, Emma in her 2 Slams reached the L16 at Wimbledon with little real prep ( remember that ) and I hear won the US Open, Cam's best was L32 albeit 3 times and tough L32 match ups..
