Most are going according to rankings.

A shout out to Louis Bowden, though, still a junior, who's just beaten the Aussie ranked 1197

And Ewan Moore, just completed college, I think, who's beaten a ranked Mexican player.

And Billy Blaydes, who's also beaten his ranked opponent (although Billy is getting ranked on Monday, no?)

Just for a moment I thought that Ewan had drawn a real bandit for this level. disbelief

I really must read more carefully.

He's a 2003-born lad, just out of juniors. From the north - Windermere, I think.

Got a younger brother, Freddy (there's a pattern in those names ), who also plays high level juniors.

I've got a little soft spot for Billy (and indeed Freddy) coz he reminds me of Marcus Willis - not as in dinky lefty stuff, but because he's a stockier built guy than most (as is his brother), but plays quite a careful game - it's good to see different sorts of players.

Thanks for the background info, CD.    I was hoping someone would weigh in with comments.  I see that young Freddy was beaten in straight sets by Alexis Canter.
