Weeks 21 & 22 - French Open (Roland-Garros) - Paris, France (clay) - mixed doubles

Only one Brit involved, but still worth keeping the details separate to spare the, er, sensitivities of certain members of the board who regard this format as an abomination!  wink

L32:  (4) Desirae Krawczyk (USA) & Neal Skupski CR 24 (11+13) vs Shuko Ayoama & Hugo Nys (JPN/MON) CR 63 (9+54)

Lloyd & partner in as ALTs ( biggrin ), but it looks like a bit of a mixed blessing:

L32:  (5) Andreja Klepac & Rohan Bopanna (SLO/IND) CR 39 (12+27) vs (ALT) Asia Muhammad (USA) & Lloyd Glasspool CR 99 (38+61)

Ah well!  Didn't last long, but at least they pick up 5,000 euros for their efforts, presumably between them rather than apiece.

It was very much nip & tuck in that MTB, with Neal & Desirae struggling to pull away until the last moment despite a couple of double faults servedby their opponents.

QF:  (4) Desirae Krawczyk (USA) & Neal Skupski CR 24 (11+13) vs Ulrikke Eikeri & Joran Vliegen (NOR/BEL) CR 93 (43+50)

Hopefully this is one Neal and Desirae can win, theyd look to be favourites- in around 1115 our time today

Eikeri & Vliegen have gone on to reach the final by beating Melichar-Martinez & Krawietz in three this morning...
