Jack roughed it out - I believe the courts are v fast in Atlanta so going to see tight matches particularly when someone like Jack plays!

Jack's FQR opponent Ramanathan beat Stefan Kozlov 0 and 1. Poor Koz seems to be getting stuffed full of bakery products lately - didn't even win a game against Steve Johnson in Queens qualies. Wonder what's going on there.

Boo crybleh

Probably no chance of a LL spot either since Mannarino and Johnson, both ranked above him, also lost in the FQR.

Do you reckon? I just thought he looked really annoyed.

But I was only watching on a small screen, so maybe couldn't see the real details....

Could only watch on Live Scores, but the stats had Jack hitting 50 winners to 23 unforced errors. How do you lose a match with those stats?

 Welcome, Smudger!

i guess the key is not so much how many winners/errors you hit but the points in which you hit them. CDs comment above would suggest that the final set TB consisted more of errors than winners.

I thought Jack just looked exhausted ( though maybe injured) It was very hot in Atlanta. I know he is much fitter than he was last year but definitely he was not himself in this match.
