I realise some wont like this but it is an official ATP event and although it has no ranking points, results will count on players official win loss records.
To that end, we have a British player, Andy Murray, playing, so felt it deserved a thread.
People clicking on a thread just to complain? What is this - Twitter?
Not really. Some folk have said in the past they are not interested in this event. It is not uninteresting to get some guide on the level of interest and the reasons why.
For me, I can't really get into the Europe vs Rest of the World concept ( kind of nebulous ) and it is a bit exhibitionny which never pulls me in.
But for sure there should be a thread, particularly as some folk do follow the event and it is in London this year. There's a difference between not particularly liking the event and not liking the thread. Any 'flak' has been for the event rather than posting about it.
Interesting to hear Novak's analysis of de Minaur's game at the end of the first set. I can see both Roger and Novak being more involved behind the scenes in the near future.
Borg looks a bit disinterested so perhaps Roger will take his place.
Who picks the overall teams? Fed? Or the team captains ( Borg & McEnroe ) who I read make the match by match selections?
Are any places guaranteed by ranking or any other criteria?

To answer my own questions, from the Laver Cup site:
"Three of the six players qualify based on their ATP singles rankings as of the Monday following the French Open. Three are "captain's picks", announced by the start of the US Open."
Borg and McEnroe are just figureheads really, I suspect the three picks are largely determined by the agency running the event, not sure if it is IMG but their ilk. Hence Andy picked as a Brit In London.
Andy heading to a match tie break at nearly one set all. Then Fed In his final match. Which I think Ill go and watch on tv .
The points are 1 point per win on day 1, 2 on day 2 and 3 on day 2, so with 4 matches per day , that is 24 points.
I suspect Andy and Djoko will play doubles tomorrow, not certain but likely .
