Mens rankings look v interesting. Rajeev and Joe are one and two now but between now and Paris , with the Turin points coming off as well, Neal is effectively top of the world in 3 weeks time and by 650 points from Rajeev with Wes looking like he would be equal on points but showing on live tennis as behind on some sort of count back, not sure about that.
But in essence , unless Rajeev can get 650 points plus more and for Joe, 700 plus, Neal should take over as number one in a few weeks time . And be year end WR and GB 1.
Of course, 650 points could go over some big counting events, but it seems to put Neal in the box seat right now.
Im sure Ill have some of that wrong and Wolf (!) will probably put me right , but thats the way it looks to me!
Yes, just allowing for points coming off, ( kinda difficult to know what points will be gping on! ) from 07/11 Neal and Wesley will be equal on points and ahead of Rajeev and Joe.
I think Wesley would be #1 by tiebreaker on 07/11 as Neal will have played one extra tournament from the following week last year, a R1 defeat with Ken so no points but it means that his total points will have come from more tournaments.
From 14/11 on I think they would be joint #1. Apart from Davis Cup, which doesn't count ATP points, they will have only partnered each other so will have the same points from the same tournaments.
Neal will be ahead of Wesley on 24/10 ( with Wesley dropping 150 points ) but still behind Rajeev and Joe.
I see his one chance to be WR 1 by himself being at 31/10 when he will still be ahead of Wesley ( before Neal's 90 Paris points come off the following week ) and within range of Rajeev and Joe with points that could be added next week. Projected 31/10 points are currently: Rajeev 6800, Joe 6710, Neal 6540, Wesley 6450.

good stuff - even equal 1 would be good and sort of a neat position given the year theyve had.
Cam and Dan both in action this pm. For Dan it is about putting together a good end to season, if he could push to top 20 , great, but unlikely and a decent set of results this week and next are probably the main aim.
Cam theoretically could reach the Masters still, but it is very unlikely - he needs to win one of this week or next and do well in both. A win today would be a start. I think Cam looked tired to me last match out and maybe a rest wouldnt harm. Although Im sure hed love to be in Turin.
