 Eliz beat Marni at Loughborough.

Eliz reached semis at Loughborough and was the only player to take a set off Emily

Eden lost to Emily in straight sets at Loughborough.

Marni and Eden get MD wild cards for Shrewsbury. Eliz doesn't.

 HUH!!!

Emily isn't in qualifying so surely she must have a wild card?

They were announced yesterday as being the WCs. Sonay doesn't need hers. Could it have been reallocated to Emily?

No, because she hadn't made it into the qualifying list at the freeze deadline and 25Ks aren't an eligible tournament for a 100K SE.

Emily confirms she's going to Shrewsbury and there are players below her that are directly in so she must have a WC.

I hope I'm wrong, but I cannot see any but the 3 all GB ties getting through to FQR and picking up 4pts.

Eliz has already had five wildcards this year.

Is she even allowed any more???

I know you get another go if you get one and win a round but she certainly lost in the first round of two of the wildcard events and not sure the third can be rolled indefinitely

She might just be maxed out

On rankings you're obviously right.

Isabelle beat her opponent last week, which gives some hope, but there's a good chance that it'll go the other way this time

Alice's opponent has had a pretty crummy last few months

But my money would be on Ella for an upset - she was playing some excellent tennis last week.

And I got it right that Mimi would be there - it's that Welsh border venue - as close as she could get to Cardiff

Nice to see her playing up. Stusek (a year younger) gave a very creditable performance recently in a W60; let's hope for similar and that Mimi can at least make a bit of a match of it (someone said she'd been injured recently so hope she's OK too)

I'm not saying who ( err because I have no idea ) but I think at least one will cause an upset and get through to the FQR.

There is a lucky loser spot as Harriet has withdrawn.

Harriet's withdrawal is already accounted for. She withdrew before the q draw was made.

Mimi Xu is from Swansea - don't think she'll appreciate the reference to Cardiff wink
