I hate it when that happens! Especially when one of them has had to go through qualifying. Can never decide who I want to win. Plus it makes watching the match less enjoyable for me.

Im maybe strange but I love it when it happens! It feels like there is much more pressure and gives me a sense of who is top dog of the two! But Im weird !

I certainly don't love it. If there's domestic pressure it's domestic pressure / distraction they could  probably do without. In general I prefer our players to go their separate paths in early rounds.. But I don't mind it too much when in practical terms, like here, I'd say it represents a pretty good draw for both and it will be good to get one of them through to R2.

Logically youre right, but I am a fan of rivalries and battles and a bit of spice, so it gets me much more interested. Particularly, like here, where both players are having solid seasons and it should be a close and decent match. I realise it isnt ideal for either of them but its all part of competition. And to be honest, it shouldnt matter - its a world stage and they need to play and try to beat whoever gets put in their way.

my gut tells me Arthur will edge this one.

Charles gets the first break of serve in the final set against Arthur and one break has sufficed to win each of the first two sets.

Charles leads by 3-6 6-3 *4-3

Charles crawls over the line winning on his 5th MP of a 20 point final game, having double faulted on each of the first 2 of these MPs. Won the last point though so well done to him.
