I'm pleased Luca's turned up, yep - got to get a match or two on grass before Wimbly qualis - and wish him well, he strikes me as a guy who works hard in the gym, on fitness, who maxes out his chances, and respect for that. But Luca's not a little fave so I'm going to keep my 'good vibe' wishes for a couple of others

I quite like the draws though - Dan has an Italian who's having a pretty lousy year and lost very easily to Ryan P in Notts. Charles Broom has an Italian who, I think, has only played on clay up now. Stuart has the guy who Billy beat, and then lost to, and then Stuart also lost to - but was 5-3 up in the TB and should have won (still rankles....) and George beat. Escoffier is a bit of an ask for Luca but, again, he hasn't done any grass lead-ups so that's good.

Overall, those are pretty good....

In fact, the MD ones are pretty good too - I like the fact that a lot of the dangerous ringers are taken care of - Rodionov v Bergs, Cazaux v Diallo, Stricker v Goffin etc. Leaving our Harry and Toby getting qualifiers and Jomo with another Italian who is coming here straight off clay.

Yeah, agree with all that , the Brits draws seem kind enough . I was disappointed the decent names in the draw seem to be the ones that have dropped from the field, like Kokkinakis, but should be a good event still.

I'll be at the event most of the week with a press pass, so if anyone is around, feel free to hit me up.

Are we assuming that Liam has a wildcard into Queen's, given his absence from this main draw?

It feels like Liam, Ryan and Jan are all probably in queens main draw , all are missing from here and also queens qualies

I'm pleased if Jan has a MDWC for Queens.

I see play has stopped; Im around 10 miles away and its grey but warm here today, no sign of rain where I am but up in the moor it can be quite localised.

Well, I'd pegged Charlie in for a 'likely' win - didn't really want it that way but we'll take it
