Great win for Felix - although Erhard absolutely threw in the towel and stopped playing in that third set - not injured, as far as I could see, just 'having a sulk moment' ::((

You're not wrong...... I love 'em dearly (well, quite a lot of them, maybe not all but lots of good traits in general) but there is a definite diva tendency
In fact, if SC is reading this, my theory is that it's all to with the word 'gagner'
In French, 'gagner' means to win, to win a match, or the lottery, or whatever
But it also means to 'earn' - i.e. salary - how much do you 'gagne' each year as a teacher is how much do you earn as a teacher.
And French kids make no distinction - I say this from experience.
If you deserve something, you 'merit' it in French, which is fine, but that's a specific subset of earning - it's not earning in general (i.e. you merit a pay rise, maybe, but you still win your salary)
As far as most are concerned, you basically 'win' things, out of the sky, by luck - you don't 'earn' them. Or maybe they know that you do but the language is working against you.
Went looking on Live Rankings, only to discover that Felix has 15 points coming off this week. An R1 win would help cover off the majority of those and he has drawn the Last Direct Acceptance, so couldn't has asked for a much better draw.
