Jack Molloy played Davis Cup for Ireland earlier this year and is Irish on the ATP site, no matter what ITF says there is no way he should be still playing under the British flag.

FQR:  Jack Molloy (IRL?) UNR vs (q14) Marcus Walters WR 1893

Molloy's nationality is a bit of a conundrum.  As wolf says, the ATP shows him as Irish, but he's apparently from Gerrards Cross, just up the road from me in Buckinghamshire, & virtually all other sources, including Steve G, have him as British. That said, his LinkedIn Page has this to say:

Competed in Wimbledon and Australian Open junior events. Represented Great Britain in all junior age categories, including at the Junior Davis Cup and European Team Championships.

Switched nationality and represented Ireland in the Davis Cup (Feb '23)

confuse  Come on, Marcus...

He played in the tie versus Peru in the mens doubles, Ireland lost 4-0

https://www.irishexaminer.com/sport/othersport/arid-41050586.html

the article brings up Sean Sorenson, who starred when Ireland hosted USA back in the early 80s and John Mcenroe and Fleming and Eliot Teltscher came over amidst much excitement - McEnroe being of Irish heritage at the height of the troubles and it was possibly the highest point in Irish tennis history ! It was even shown on British television I recall!

And my final input on Irish Davis cup tennis and that famous tie in this great article

www.nytimes.com/1983/09/28/sports/a-yank-to-lead-ireland-in-davis-cup.html

Sorry to divert the thread but tennis history is fascinating - the 1973 series on tennis abstract is a must read for anyone with any interest at all. Remember the atp and WTA tour forerunners started just 50 years ago. And we had competing tours with ILTF Grand Prix, WCT, Indoor Pro Circuit in the USA, ILTF running the womens pre WTA and the Virginia Slims indoor circuit in the USA as well. Not to mention World Team Tennis which took lots of top players away from the French Open.
