Week 42 - ATP Challenger 50 - Ladies' & Gents' Trophy - Hamburg, Germany (indoor hard)

L16:  Denis Istomin & Evgeny Karlovskiy (UZB/***) CR 881 (453+428) vs (4) Biilly Harris & Kelsey Stevenson (CAN) CR 578 (332+246)

The main draw's not out yet, but I assume Billy will be in it.

Got to admire the week in and week out slog from Billy here, he is certainly going for target or Australia it would appear.

It would be great to see him in Oz. I've been a bit surprised but delighted about Billy's level this year.

L16:  (6) (*) Cem Ilkel (TUR) WR 222 (CH = 144 in November 2021) vs Billy Harris WR 262

(*)  sorry.  My ageing eyes must have been playing tricks on me:  I misread the draw on the ATP site.

Tennis Abstract rate Billy really highly to do well here, 4th overall favourite. Let's see. But shows how he is rising in the game and his current form is strong

The above result probably for the best. Billy has played a lot and needs to concentrate more on his own tennis if he wants to make Australia. 2 more wins for the top 250 as has been said and probably 3 more wins making the final will be enough for Australia.

How come Ilkel had to come through qualifying?
