Anderson saw off the local sixth seed, Evan Zhu, in three sets in his last 16 match.

 That said, he won the 2016 Aussie Open boys singles title and qualified for the ATP Brisbane 250 event, before doing the stupid thing above; he retired after serving his suspension due to persistent injuries. But he is clearly a player with a good pedigree and presumably giving it a go again.
