Tennis has not started in Portugal. Fran's previous match was indoors so unable to think why they cannot continue
as they are so far behind.

The scheduled start (when I looked last night) was 12 and still is. It does seem strange as you'd think they'd want to play two rounds today rather than tomorrow, especially as the doubles has reached SF.

Play was due to start at 10am, but was rescheduled to 12 due to the condition of the court being affected by rain that fell overnight [I guess that means its still wet?]

Latest reschedule ( at least they have been updating things today ) has the first match on Court 6 now scheduled for 4 pm BST with Fran's match following with a suggested 5.30 pm time.

Singles cancelled for the day. Plan is to play 2 rounds tomorrow and SF and F on Sunday. Indoor courts are unavailable as they are being used by the men. The mens tournament has TV commitments.

Playing so many matches in a couple of days is not good for Fran. I hope she doesnt pick up any injuries.

I reckon the courts haven't dried enough yet - play stopped on court 4 after just 7 minutes, but court 3 is continuing
