British ITF/Challenger events 2025

Next year's early ITFs are already on the ITF calendar. Fewer tournaments in January/February than 2024 but Manchester is introduced to the women's calendar which is a nice change from the usual venues.
I would expect there to be at least 1 ATP Challenger.

As a reminder there is an increase in prize money with 15k increasing to 20k, 25k to 30k and women's 60k to 70k. Hospitality will be mandatory at W50 and above.

20 to 26 Jan:
M25 ($30k) / W35 ($30k) Sunderland

10 to 16 Feb:
M25 ($30k) Roehampton
W50 ($40k) Edgbaston

17 to 25 Feb:
W35 ($30k) Manchester

28 Apr to 4 May:
M25 / W35 ($30k) Nottingham

5 May to 11 May:
M25 / W35 (30k) Nottingham

Quite a weak list overall but I guess anyone above 240 is down in Australia at the AO qualies!

This suggests the increasing hope in the US I've been hearing in recent weeks that Jack may be returning to play collegiate tennis is misplaced. Not that he is needed for TCU's first match in January, so maybe not too much can be read into this.

I wonder how that works as Shrewsbury has been a really good venue - would they have put the license out to bid or did Shrewsbury decide it was not able to host any more?

Shrewsbury Tennis Centre was taken over by David Lloyd group just before last year's event and they said they were reviewing the events they held. Once Dave Courteen was not part of it any more, I didn't see the new management continuing it in the form it had been. So, it isn't a surprise that it isn't continuing in Shrewsbury, but it's encouraging to see Dave Courteen is the event promoter of this Wrexham event to carry on what he built at Shrewsbury.

Excellent to hear re the tournament director - if that is his role - good stuff

I wonder if theyve ever thought of Upgrading it to a 250 event?

More detail...

Dave Courteen, the promoter of the W100 tennis event, said: "David Lloyd Clubs is significantly investing in a refurbishment of David Lloyd Shrewsbury, which means it is not able to host the W100 tournament this year.

"David Lloyd Clubs recognise the value of this event to the town and to the tennis calendar, so they have worked in partnership with the Lawn Tennis Association and myself to find an alternative venue near Shrewsbury to host the tournament.

"Wrexham is just over 30 miles away, so, thanks to David Lloyd Clubs financially supporting this event, tennis fans won't miss out on what promises to be another fantastic tournament this year.

"Some of the tournament's local sponsors will all remain involved, which is great news.

"We also have many Shropshire volunteers from around the county, who have helped make this tournament such a success, so we hope they will be keen to be involved again.

"When David Lloyd Shrewsbury has been refurbished, it will give us the opportunity to re-evaluate how we run next year's event and assess if there's an opportunity for it to come back to Shrewsbury."

What date is this and is it indoors? I don't remember Wrexham having much spectator facilities for indoor, but is I about 10 years since I was last there.

According to the Shropshire Star

The prestigious event will take place at Wrexham Tennis & Padel Centre between October 19-26.
