Just by the by, this is an IMG event and so the draws are littered with IMG-sponsored youngsters with wildcards

Tyra Grant (whom Hannah has beaten previously) has a MAIN DRAW wildcard

Ksenia Efremova, Wakana Sonobe, Teodora Kostovic, Lilli Tagger - all have quali wildcards.

Hannah has a great track record against all of them too - although Lilli beat her at that team thingy, I seem to remember. And Mika beat Sonobe at the US Open (but lost to Kostovic a bit unfortunately at Junior Wimbly)

Since then Sonobe won the Australian Open juniors, and beat Baptiste, Bucsa and Yuan at Abu Dhabi. Will be interested in how she does here.

Kartal v Burrage is unfortunate if interesting.

I know Im alone, but Sonay and Jodie is a match to look forward to. I realise one wont go forwards, but I do enjoy our players facing off to each other - sorry!

Good to see Harriet in the draw. Hip must be ok following last week.

Emma would face Emma Navarro WR8 in R2, Katie would face Elise Mertens WR28. After that Emma's path would get easier until Pegula in the QF. Katie would meet Swiatek in R3.

Jodie was a set and 4-1* up, had a point for 5-2*, lost the second 4-6.

Harriet was up *4-1 in the third, was dragged back to 4-3 *0-30, but held, so now leads 5-3*
