That was close! A lesser-spotted MTB win. This I think is only her third ever clay court final.

No joy today, Em and Kat lose the final 6-4 6-2 but presumably are sticking around for the W35 next week (both are entered for the singles).

That's a pity. Still no title on clay for Em - although she did win one as a junior over twenty years ago.

Or not. Ovcharenko has just withdrawn late as she's sneaked into the second 125 taking place here. But if she is out of singles before doubles sign-in on Monday she can play the W35 doubles if I've read the rules right!
