J100 Istanbul

Louis Hull won in R1, in three sets, but lost out in R2

 

 

J60 Malta

Malta continues to provide very little joy.....cry

Ron Roopesh, Henry Beer, Lucas Ebert and Alex Winder all lost in R1

As did Eva Senior and TianaVrajitoriu

BUT Simon Hegarty won two matches before losing in R3

And Tamara  Kuti got one win too

 

J60 Latvia 

Andrew Cutocheras and Lawrie Wilkin lost in R1

 

J60 Trinidad & Tobago 

Levi Taylor lost in R1 against the top seed

 

J30 Pakistan

Enzo Kahi lost in R1 in singles but got a win in doubles 

 

J30 Austria

Henry Best has won two matches and is into the QFs

 

J30 Ghana

Xander Reese lost in the boys

But a whole 'gaggle' of GB girls are doing well

All had BYEs into R2

Where there were wins for Hermione K Davies (who beat the top seed, 6-1 6-0), Julia Reynolds, Myah Harper Chang, Jiselle Okoye and Annabel Hristova

Only Abby Gherendi came up short

In the QFs, Hermione beat Julia in three sets, Annabel and Myah won, but Jiselle lost to the 2nd seed

So in the SFs, Hermione plays Annabel and Myah plays the 2nd seed from Lux

 

J30 Botswana

Daphne Lovdahl has two wins and is into the QFs

 

J30 Finland

R1 wins, and R2 losses, for Matt McLain, Henry Redfern and Matilda Burns

Henry is into the dubs SF

All over in J30 Finland as Henry Redfern and partner lost their doubles SF


J30 Botswana

Daphne Lovdahl won her QF and is into the semis - this is her first SF ever, I think, so well done and good luck to her


J30 Austria

A QF win for Henry Best puts him into the semis too - also his first SF, I believe

Hermione K Davies beat Annabel Hristova in a very close SF, and Myah lost her SF

Hermione's final is tomorrow

But Annabel got revenge in the doubles

Daphne Lovdahl (age 15) won her SF and is into the final - this is her first final ever, I think, so well done and good luck to her

Wrexham Cat 2 Tennis Europe 12U


Girls Final: Evie Pritchard def. Mimi Zlotnik 6-3 6-2

Sahara Baptiste (2014) was a semi-finalist, as was Coco Witton (2013)


Boys Final: Tomas Gabor def. Seb Beetlestone 6-2 6-4

(Now Beetlestone is an excellent name )

Semi places for Cameron Rae and Mason Wimalasena (a new name to me)

Hermione Korpanec Davies (age 13) def. (2) Onalee Wagner 4-6 6-3 6-2


Hermione is born on 25 Oct. 2011 - so she's only 13 1/2 - excellent win and title !

Just to mention in passing that, as well as Sofia Tatu's amazing win at the Super 14U event in Portugal (see separate dedicated thread), we had two players in two other 14U finals this weekend

Unfortunately both came out on the wrong side. But very good weeks all the same

14U Girls Cat 3 Austria

FINAL: Sophia Cuninghame (born 2012) (GBR) lost to (2) Julia Ehrenberger (AUT)

14U Boys Cat 3 Spain

FINAL: (2) Haqim Kamal (GBR) lost to Jose Vega Ponce (ESP)
