As we hit the end of week 1 of 5 in the June period (yes, I knows still May!) please feel free to nominate away if anyone hits the spots with a potential POM performance
Cameron Norrie- So good to see Cam back in the big time. Even though his wins have been in May I believe he is still eligible for nomination ?
Its great to see him în R16 for the first time în his career and his win over Medvedev was nothing less than epic. Reality is that if Jack goes on to win the event there can be only one POTM. And Cam has Novak next ! But worthy of nomination whatever happens now !

Hi Danny - as Indy says, go for it, the period starts with the opening of the French so Cam can be nominated for that; Geneva wont count, though. But please feel free to nominate. Just create a new post like this below and add your narrative
Nominations
1. Cam Norrie - narrative around why hes nominated per largely what you wrote above.

Danny - realised your narrative was mostly there so a little judicious editing and here is cam as our opening nomination. Hope that is ok!?
Middle of week 2 of 5, still plenty of action in the French Open and now on grass.
If anyone has or does catch your eye as a potential PoM nominee, get them on here. If youre a new member, and are interested in this - just shout and someone (probably me!) can explain what it is about and how you go about nominating and voting.

With no Brits in action in Birmingham today, no main draw players left in France, our British interest today is left to juniors (Hannah and Oli B), wheelchair (Alfie, Gordon and Andy) and a spattering of ITF players and other juniors. The pace picks up with Neal and Joe and Mimi back on court tomorrow.
If any of these or anyone else from last week attracts your attention as potential June Player of the Month (and it is only the 5th June!) then you know the process by now - for new members, just take the list above, copy it into a new post (or use the quote function), add a new name as number 2, and give a narrative for why they could be considered PoM.
Remember, the nomination is really a shout out to a job well done - it gets them at the table for the end of month feast when we decide who wins it with our vote!
A number of players still in action as RG reaches the final weekend - Neal and Joe (Mens doubles), Hannah (Girls singles), Oli (Boys doubles), Alfie (Mens wheelchair singles) and Alfie and Gordon (mens wheelchair doubles)
Lets hope one at least gets a crack on finals day - in the AO we had 5 finalists (Henry, Alfie, Alfie/gordon, Andy Lapthorne, Hannah) so here is hoping one or two make it.

2. Hannah Klugman - reached the French Open girls singles final (final to come) for her first grand slam singles final. Showing Brits can play on clay, it will also take her back into the top 3 or 4 girls in the JWR and top Brit on that list as well (to be updated once the final has taken place). The first British junior finalist in nearly 50 years, since Michelle Tyler in 1976.
As a thing, I think any Brit getting to a slam final deserves a spot here so will be keeping a close eye on the others left in France

3. Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski - Reaching the French Open doubles final, the first time either of them has got beyond the last 8 and, for both of them, their first Grand Slam final since 2023. Their first Grand Slam final as a pair. More to come?
I said I would, so I did!

4. Alfie Hewett - reaching the final of the French Open men's wheelchair singles - Alfie has won the French 3 times in the past but not since 2021. He won the AO earlier this year and is clearly showing himself as part of a Big two in mens wheelchair tennis.
