Its a decent field in Stuttgart with Fritz second seed to Zverev. Shapo, FAA. If you were going to draw a seed, Nakashima isnt a bad one to get, Jake may well have the edge on grass.

I'll be happy with L28 win, taking it match by match

Was wondering if Jacob has any links here as it seems unusual for our players not to be playing on home soil at this time of year?

Jack won this event last year.
There are no 250's in UK this week.

Jack D won it last year; re Jacob playing here - the only UK event this week is Ilkley challenger and his ranking is now well into the main tour events, so he will have chosen Stuttgart (over the Dutch event) to play at ATP Tour level. He will almost certainly be back playing at Queens next week with a wild card and then, presumably, into Eastbourne the following week.

Basically, his ranking is now better than playing in Ilkley Challenger this week!

Jake seems to have just collapsed there, unlike him. Disappointed, I am sure he will be.

 Thanks Jon.

Gutted for Jake after the first set, hopefully just a change of surface and fatigue.

And he may have been better off playing in Ilkley as it turned out! Oh well.
