Week 25 - ATP 500 - HSBC Championships - The Queen's Club, London, Great Britain (grass)

Jack Draper will be the only GB flag-carrier by right on the men's side & conceivably the third seed.   Given his recent heroics on the red stuff, could Jake Fearnley, currently likely to be the top seed in qualies, but in the list of ALTs for the main draw, be rewarded with a WC?  Likewise Cam?  Will dear old Billy land a qWC?  Not long till we find out...

Will be interesting to hear the thoughts of the players regarding the surface and playing on it compared to previous years as instead of fresh grass it will have a weeks worth of play on it already this year. Obviously no different to week two of Wimbledon, but still different at this tournament to normal.

Good point.  I've seen both Laura Robson & Andy interviewed on both the Beeb & ITV lunchtime news today, Andy because the Queen's centre court has been renamed the Andy Murray Arena & Laura because she's the Tournament Director for the women's WTA 500 event, returning to West Ken for the first time since 1973.  I take it that Jamie is still the Director of the men's event?

The courts looked very green & lush...

I heard that it could be better for men's players as the surface will be bedded in, and less of a risk for players to be injured on the first day when the courts are slick.

Presumably not unless they have semi final womans tickets?  Or were there just ground passes available?
