The Felix and Arthur point is interesting, given they're both on the Pro Scholarship programme - the top level of support for layers outside the top-100
So if that doesn't include a qualis wildcard, then what's it all about?
That said, neither have been in great form and Féry's had injuries
But Oliver Bonding is a definite, which takes oneof the places away and you aren't left with that many
I noticed a 17 year old German Justin Engel beat Duckworth the Michelson in Stuttgart this week and is still going (plays FAA next) - wondering whether that type of result from a junior tends to get a wildcard to Qualies at least and how much more people think he'd need to do to get a MDWC?
He's also won matches on hard, clay and grass on the main tour - at just 17, that's mad impressive! Already on the cusp of being ranked high enough to be in quallies too. With this week's points he's live ranked 234.

His palmares right now isnt strong enough - hed be a passing interest to keep an eye on. If he wins Stuttgart though, that would put him in contention, Id say. But a long way (3 matches ) to go and a tough field left in Stuttgart.
Following from discussion on other thread, these are my predictions for Men's wildcards.
MDWC
Clarke
Evans
Choinski
Monday
Jubb
Searle
Peniston
Wawrinka
QWC
Crawford
Loffhagen
JPJ
Gray
Hussey
Edmund/Fery
2x playoff
You could have Edmund and Fery as it is 9 wildcard to qualies
Id say Oli C and JPJ are making a good run at a main draw chance at the moment. Possibly at the expense of Henry and Ryan, Id say. Depends how the next few days/ week plays out for all.
Yes, just watching a little bit of his match against Felix - Justin lost the first set in a tie-break
Very watchable - nice young lad to get behind
I don't know if the AELTC get on well with the German federation - unless they are best mates, I very much doubt he'll get a MD WC, or even a Q WC, assuming he loses here - there are too many GB men
But they usually give WCs to people who've performed in the grass season, and beating top 50 players to reach a 250 grass quarter final is that. If he gets a couple more wins, I think he'd hopefully be in line for one.
Like, I don't think players like Searle or Monday have done enough to warrant one. Monday seems to be struggling in the move from futures to challengers, and Searle hasn't really progressed how we might've expected. Jubb really has done nothing to warrant one either, his points to the SFs in Germany last year will soon drop off and his ranking will plummet far outside of the top 250. Hoping they prove me wrong and start to get some big results in the coming grass tournaments.
Unless there is a high profile overseas player, like Wawrinka or the previous junior winner, then all the wildcards will almost certainly go to Brits, its just a matter of whom.
Clarke, Evans and Choinski are obvious - the rest can be debated. Jubb is an LTA favourite, Peniston has a story the media can jump on and Searle can be promoted via his junior title, so I suspect they are almost guaranteed.

I think they would give one to someone NOT from GB doing something really impressive in the grass court season. And that isnt certain - I would say that is winning a challenger (as they always have said they will keep an eye on that) or probably getting to the final of a 250 or semis of a 500 (eg Halle or Queens).
Right now, Enkel isnt quite there, IMO. Get to the final in Stuttgart, with a win over an FAA or someone similar, he definitely should be in with a shout. But he isnt there yet.
Virtanen won the challenger in Birmingham last week but sadly has suffered a big injury this week and wont even make the field if he was given one, so he is out.
Winner in Ilkley this week should be talked about as an option, for sure, but we need to see how that plays out.

I think everyone's remembering 2022 when Tim van Rijthoven got a MD WC, despite not being high profile or a junior winner, but just on the basis of having had an amazing run on grass
But he WON the Hertogenbosch event, out of nowhere
Whereas Engel hasn't, much as he is very promising and has had some excellent results
