Does anyone know the last 2 players joining the Nat Academy? I've heard Britton, Watson and Zingg.

Looks like we are letting go of a very talented player Matyas Oprchal. He just won the Czech 12U national championships. This is worrying that we are losing such a good prospect how many more will go elsewhere with dual nationality. :(

The LTA should be doing more to keep him.

All the LtA care about is Wimbledon instead of focusing on helping our own players and not just the top stars. Honestly Im fed up with them. (Sorry for the rant but it just annoys me)

I don't know anything about the boy but are the family moving back to Czechia?

is that why he's playing th Czech championships?

I'm not saying you're wrong re the LTA but there's nothing really the LTA can do if the family are moving back, and are basically done with the UK

I dont think so because on instagram his coach had posted a photo and wrote a comment about his title win. Then one of his family members posted a comment underneath saying its a shame the British dont appreciate hos attitude and potential as much as Czechs do Implying that the LTA have not been as supportive. Maybe Im wrong and being OTT but its a shame if we do lose him. And I worry this could start a trend because only a couple of the top early juniors are supported.

The irony is that LTA may well go courting him again in 5 years time....no

Hes a Tennis First grantee and has been invited to various LTA camps, match plays etc. Not sure what, at his age, the LTA could have done, especially if he has chosen to play under the Czech flag.

By playing the Czech nationals though he isnt eligible to play the British nationals (wouldnt have been eligible anyway without a GB IPIN) and the LTA will obviously favour British players

GB's Clarice Ouvarova (2010) and Welles Newman (2010) from the USA came within a whisker of winning the J100 doubles title, but ended up losing the final, 6-4 2-6 10-8
